Question Friday: Fishing in Animal Crossing

Today starts off the first official Question Friday.  Every Friday, The Hidden Chest will be proposing a new question for you, The Gamer, to answer. This week’s question is for the Animal Crossing fans out there:

What do you do when you catch a new fish?

Do you graciously donate it to the town museum, do you keep it for a pet, or do you sell it to Nook for some quick Bells?  Most of the time this is an easy decision to make if you catch a pretty common fish; you can do whatever you want because you’ll most likely catch the same fish again. But what if it’s really rare?

Personally, I used to be a hardcore donator.  No matter how much I knew the fish would go for, I’d immediately give it to Blathers.  More recently, however, I realized that for all the work it takes to fill up the museum, it isn’t quite worth the museum model.  I’ve started selling all my catches to Nook, because Bells are more important to me (at least until I’ve completely payed off my house).  Once I’m no longer in debt, I’ll gladly start donating again.
